Camp Lohikan is a summer camp for boys and girls aged 6 to 15, located in the northeast Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. We're about 2 1/2 hours from New York City.

For over 47 years Camp Lohikan has been operated by the Buynak- Ernest Family and has been recognized for its warm friendly atmosphere and dynamic programming.

Our campsite is situated on 1200 acres and located high in the northeast Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The campus is surrounded by preserved forested landscape and overlooks picturesque streams, a private lake and miles of enchanting mountain vistas.

Our facilities are among the best in camping... heated swimming pool, private lake with over 50 boats, on-premises stables with 30 horses and 7 miles of trails, over 40,000 square feet of indoor activity facilities, 11 tennis courts equipped with lights, 6 basketball courts (indoor and outdoor), 4 regulation sports fields, extensive adventure program and ropes course, indoor & outdoor theaters, 14 arts & crafts workshops, huge circus building, 2 theaters, modern cabins with showers... Our program stands out for its breadth and the quality of instruction. Over 65 activities are operated on a daily basis!

The Daily Program for campers entering 6th grade and older is elective. Every camper gets to choose his or her own schedule of activities. Campers entering the 5th grade and younger follow a cabin-structured program and are accompanied by their counselors. But even juniors get elective choices in Lohikan's unique cabin-structured program! (Take a look at our Junior Program page.)

What makes Lohikan truly unique is our relaxed, friendly atmosphere. This supportive environment in combination with our First-Time Camper Program has produced more successful first-time summers than any other camp we know of.

Our camp staff is composed of over 50 camp professionals and a counseling staff of more than 130 college-enrolled young men and women selected for their skills and experience with children.
